At Biltmore Church, we believe baptism by immersion is the first step in obedience as a follower of Jesus. Baptism is a symbol of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. If you’ve never had the opportunity to publicly declare your new life in Christ through baptism, this is your next step.
As disciples of Jesus, we should follow Christ’s example (Mark 1:9). Jesus told believers to be baptized and set an example for others (Matthew 28:19-20). Baptism is a great opportunity to declare to the world that Jesus is Lord.
Once you've entered into a personal relationship with Jesus, you're ready!
Acts 2:41, Acts 8:35-38
It is a symbol of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection and your new life in Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 2 Corinthians 5:17
The one and only requirement for baptism is that you know and have a personal relationship with Jesus.
Acts 8:13
Because Baptism follows a personal decision to follow and trust Jesus, Biltmore does not baptize children until they are old enough to understand and believe.
